The centre will work for blue chip companies

A plan to create more than 500 new call centre jobs has been announced by a Scottish company.

The announcement by Falkirk-based Telecom Service Centres (TSC) was being timed to coincide with the firm making a statement on its annual results.

The company, which was set up in 1994, already employs more than 1,000 people in Dunoon, Falkirk, Greenock and Rothesay.

TSC also has plans to open a contact centre in Aviemore in the near future.

Last year former First Minister Henry McLeish attended the company's launch briefing on a Ł3.3m expansion plan at Larbert near Falkirk.

It was estimated that the company would create up to 700 jobs at a call centre providing services for blue chip customers.

TSC was set up with the aim of bringing about economic regeneration in rural and urban communities.
