Postcard arrives 112 years late
A postcard sent from Queensland, Australia, has finally reached its destination in Aberdeen more than a century after it was posted.
The card was addressed to a Miss Wardrop, of 32 Carden Place, Aberdeen, and was sent by a man named Colin in 1889.
However, her home is no longer there and has been replaced by a dental surgery and three businesses.
The Royal Mail has launched an appeal for relatives of the intended recipient.
"Just a few lines to say I am still here in Brisbane and have enjoyed my six weeks leave"

A spokesman said: "It has come 12,000 miles and we now hope that we can go the extra mile and get it delivered."
The card only left Australia earlier this month - despite being posted on 4 January 1889, and arrived in Aberdeen, via London, last week.
The postcard has an elaborate crest in its top left corner and was posted with a threepenny stamp.
The message reads: "Just a few lines to say that I am still in Brisbane and have enjoyed my six weeks leave.
"I reported myself today at the bank, but have not yet heard my destination. Thanks awfully for letters from you and Gerty.
"Trusting you are all well and wishing you all a happy new year. Will write in a day or two. This is the first time postcards have been issued in Queensland."
The postcard was signed 'Colin'.
Anyone wishing to claim ownership of the postcard should contact Royal Mail in Aberdeen on 01224 870 207.
