With less than a week to go before the general election, both leaders appeared for half an hour, from 2130 BST on Friday, 29 April, 2005.
As usual on Question Time, members of each studio audience submitted questions and the editorial team then selected which questions were to be used in the programme.
The Question Time Wales and Scotland leaders special programmes were broadcast on Friday, 29 April, at 2130 BST. They were repeated on Saturday, 30 April, 2005 on BBC Parliament. The SNP special was broadcast at 2200 BST and the Plaid Cymru special followed at 2230 BST.
The UK-wide election special with the party leaders was broadcast on Thursday, 28 April, from 2030 to 2200 BST. It was repeated on BBC Parliament on Saturday, 30 April, 2005 at 2030 BST on BBC Parliament.
