A 21-year-old man has been sentenced to four years in jail for killing a teenager in a hit-and-run at Madam's Bank Road in Londonderry in April.
Andrew McGlinchey, of Cornshell Fields, admitted causing the death of David Leo Brennan by driving with excess alcohol in his system.
He also admitted failing to stop, remain or report the accident.
McGlinchey will serve two years in jail before being released on licence for another two years.
After knocking Mr Brennan down, he drove to a field in Eglinton, where he set fire to his car before getting a taxi home.
McGlinchey also admitted driving without insurance. He has been banned from driving for seven years.
Mr Brennan's father leapt from the public gallery and shouted abuse at the accused as sentence was passed.
