House is damaged in racial attack

Police

An arson attack on a house in Omagh in which a six-year-old girl escaped injury was racially motivated, the police have said.

A bottle filled with flammable liquid was thrown into the back garden of the house in Meelmore Drive on Wednesday.

The kitchen window was damaged, but the householder, her six-year-old daughter and a friend who was visiting at the time were uninjured.

The police have asked for anyone with information to contact them.
