Man admits causing death on road

Londonderry Crown Court

A man from Londonderry has admitted causing the death of a man by dangerous driving.

Ciaran Doherty was killed on the Ardmore Road on the Waterside in 2008.

Martin McGonagle, 26, from Galliagh Road, also admitted driving without insurance and driving while unfit through drink or drugs.

The judge at Londonderry Crown Court told McMonagle to expect a significant prison term when he is sentenced in four weeks time.
