It is understood they were walking home from school with anther youth when they were hit by a car near Enniskillen.

It happened on the Croaghrim Road in the Florencecourt area, at about 1830 GMT on Thursday.

Ulster Unionist assembly member Tom Elliott described the death as a tragedy for the family and the "close knit community".

"The Florencecourt area of Fermanagh has a very close knit community and the tragic death of this young man and serious injury of another youth will be devastating for the families and entire community," he said.

SDLP assembly member Tommy Gallagher said the news would "devastate the people of the area".

"We have got to find ways of keeping people, and particularly our young people, safe on the roads," he said.
