Pensioner robbed by house caller

Police back

A pensioner has had a sum of money stolen during a distraction burglary at her home.

A man claiming to be from BT called to the woman's house in Burnfoot, near Dungiven, on Thursday afternoon.

He asked her to go into the garden, and when she returned to the house she discovered a sum of money had been taken from her purse.

It is not known how much money was taken. There are no further details available.
