Man is remanded on theft charges

Londonderry Magistrates Court

A man has been charged with stealing two cars and other items from houses in the Culmore area of Londonderry last August.

Paul Lomas, 23, from Rosemount Avenue, Derry, was also charged with stealing more than £5,000 from a cash machine at Whitehouse on the same date.

He appeared at the city's magistrates court on Wednesday.

He was remanded in custody for 14 days by the district judge.
