Man charged over drug 'factory'

Cannabis plants

A 37-year-old man has been charged with growing cannabis after police officers uncovered what they described as a "cannabis factory" in County Down.

The discovery was made in Ballykinler on Friday.

The man was also charged with the possession of class B drugs, possession with intent to supply, criminal damage and dishonestly obtaining electricity.

He is expected to appear in court in Downpatrick on 23 November.
