Clint Eastwood 'stars as King Billy'

A waxwork model of Clint Eastwood has been used to represent King William

Visitors to an Orange Order exhibition have been left rather mystified to find Clint Eastwood sitting on a white charger instead of King William.

The statue appears in 'The Orange World - Beyond the Boyne' exhibition, which opened in east Belfast last week.

The Order said they needed a figure to represent King William and managed to acquire the waxwork of the Dirty Harry star from Madame Tussauds in London.

A spokesman said the figure would make an interesting talking point.

The exhibition which, runs until October, also features a collarette worn by Northern Ireland football legend George Best.

"The exhibition will be a big draw and they should enjoy seeing what we have on display," Grand Master Robert Saulters said.

"Of course the collarette worn by George Best and the other documents signed by him should be a major attraction."
