Man suffers head injury in attack

House at Cairngorm Drive in Larne

A 22-year-old man has serious head injuries after he was attacked by a gang in County Antrim.

Police said a number of people were involved in the attack at a house at Cairngorm Drive in Larne which happened at midnight on Friday.

The man is in a stable condition in hospital. There are no reports of other injuries.

Police said a motive for the attack is under investigation and they have appealed for information.
