Controlled explosion on package

Hardcastle Street

A suspicious package that was found in Belfast city centre has been declared a hoax.

Police were called to Hardcastle Street, off the Dublin Road on Friday morning when a package was discovered underneath a car.

They closed the road and carried out a controlled explosion on the package.

Hardcastle Street has now been reopened.
