Man injured in scaffold collapse

Building collapse

A workman is in a critical condition after the front of a building and scaffolding collapsed in County Antrim.

The accident happened at Hill Street in Ballymena at about 0850 GMT on Friday. The health and safety executive said they were investigating the incident.

The building was once a DUP constituency office before the party sold it around 18 months ago.

A spokeswoman for Antrim Hospital said the man was "in a critical, but stable, condition".
