A man has been charged with the rape and indecent assault of a minor, the police have said.
The 67-year-old was detained by officers on Thursday.
The charges are believed to relate to an incident which happened in east Belfast between 2005 and 2006.
The man is due to appear before Belfast Magistrates Court on Friday morning, the police said.
