Woman assaulted in city centre

Police

A woman in her 50s has been assaulted in Belfast city centre.

The attack happened at about 1700 GMT on Saturday in the Church Lane area when she was attacked by an unknown man at the Cole's Alley public toilets.

The woman suffered injuries to her face. Police believe a knife was used in the attack.

A man was seen running away towards Ann Street. He was wearing a black jacket and jeans, of medium build and was in his 20s or 30s.
