Name released of city road victim

Police tape

The name has been released of the 59-year-old woman who died after being struck by a car in north Belfast on Wednesday afternoon.

Margaret Cunningham, from the Shankill area, was hit by a grey Renault car at the junction of the Shankill Road and Crimea Street at about 1245 GMT.

She was taken to hospital but later died.

Police have said the incident was not a hit and run and have appealed for information about it.
