Police officer struck by vehicle

A police officer has been taken to hospital after being struck by a car in north Belfast.

He was attending the scene of a traffic accident on the Shore Road when he was hit by the vehicle.

A police spokesperson said the officer's injuries were not believed to be life-threatening.

The Shore Road was closed between Donegall Park Avenue and Mount Vernon for a period following the earlier accident.
