Arrest made over widow's murder

Murder scene

Police investigating the murder of an Armagh widow in October have arrested a man in the city.

The body of 62-year-old Eileen Corrigan was found in her home at Boyds Row, off the Loughgall Road, on 6 October.

A police spokesman said the arrest was made by the PSNI crime operations' major investigation team.

Mrs Corrigan, who lived alone after the death of her husband 12 years ago, was described as "quiet and inoffensive" and was well-known in the area.

Detectives believe she was last seen alive several days before she was found dead by a friend.
