Drivers warned of road ice danger

Londonderry in the snow

A severe overnight frost has left many Northern Ireland roads icy with police warning about driving conditions.

Although all major routes were already gritted overnight, the gritters have been out again to re-treat areas of the west and north.

Dungannon, Limavady and Coleraine have all been badly hit, as have Ballymoney, Antrim and Larne.

The Omagh to Ballygawley and the Dundrum to Newcastle roads also needed extra gritting.
