Teenage boy is killed in accident

accident

A teenage boy has been killed in a road accident in County Fermanagh.

It is understood three school children were walking home when they were hit by a car near Enniskillen.

A girl was critically injured in the accident, which happened on the Croaghrim Road in the Florencecourt area, at about 1830 GMT on Thursday.

The police said it was not a hit-and-run. SDLP assembly member Tommy Gallagher said the news would "devastate the people of the area".

"We have got to find ways of keeping people, and particularly our young people, safe on the roads," he said.
