Police are investigating a link between 17 break-ins at commercial premises in County Antrim in a 12-hour period.

Fifteen of the raids happened between 0600 and 0900 GMT on Thursday.

Industrial estates in Toome, Antrim and Mallusk were targeted. Two other burglaries were discovered in the Antrim area on Wednesday night.

Cash and electrical items were stolen. In some of the incidents it is believed a car or other vehicle was used to force open gates and doors.

A police spokeswoman said it was too early to say how much cash and property was stolen during the break-ins.

Police want anyone who can help with their investigation into the burglaries to contact them.
