Man arrested over farmer's murder

Victor Stewart

A man has been arrested in connection with the murder of a County Armagh dairy farmer.

The arrest took place in the Armagh area on Tuesday morning, a police spokesman said.

Victor Stewart, 45, was found at his house on the Creevekeeran Road in Middletown last Wednesday.

Police said the victim suffered a violent death and believe he was killed shortly after 2100 BST on Monday 20 October.

Detectives investigating the murder have said they believe robbery was the motive behind the attack.
