Four injured in traffic accident

Four people have been injured in an accident on the Belfast Road in Newry.

All four were taken to Daisy Hill Hospital where two were said to be in a serious condition and another one critical.

The fourth person, who was not seriously injured, was expected to be discharged.

A PSNI spokesperson said the Belfast Road had been closed and diversions are in place. Drivers have been asked to avoid the area.
