Man released over Markets attack

Police

A 23-year-old man arrested in connection with the attack on Jeremy Mooney in Belfast on 19 September has been released.

Mr Mooney, 41, from Bangor, was left with head injuries following the assault in the Hamilton Street area of the Markets.

He remains in hospital, in a stable condition.

Police carried out a search in the area in connection with the assault on Thursday.
