Broken arm and leg in town attack

Police officer's back

A man has suffered a broken arm and leg in an attack at his County Antrim home.

It happened in the Castlemara Drive area of Carrickfergus shortly before 0300 BST on Monday.

A PSNI spokeswoman said the victim was unsure of the number of people involved in the attack.

Detectives in the town have appealed to witnesses or anyone with information about the incident to contact them.
