Second man held over DJ's murder

Murder scene

A 29-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the murder of a DJ attacked outside a disco in County Antrim.

Earlier on Tuesday, a 26-year-old man arrested in connection with Stephen Nelson's murder. He was later released.

Mr Nelson, 55, was attacked by a gang of up to 10 men who kicked and punched him at the Chimney Corner Hotel in Newtownabbey in September 2004.

He was in hospital in a coma for several months before his death.

"Police have spoken to a considerable number of people who attended a disco on the night. But it is possible that someone knows who did this, and because of fear of reprisals, they are afraid to talk to us," a police spokesman said.

"We need these people to come forward. They could have the information we need to put the perpetrators before the courts."
