Man charged over fatal car crash

A man has been charged with a number of driving offences after a man was killed and his partner and three children injured in a crash on Saturday night.

Arturas Siuksteris, 35, a foreign national living in Downpatrick, was accused of dangerous driving and being unfit to drive through drink or drugs.

Michael Molloy, 36, from Downpatrick, died in the crash on the Ardglass Road outside the town.

His partner and children, aged six, four and one are in a stable condition.

The accused was remanded to appear in court later this month.
