Cannabis

A man has appeared in court in Newry on Saturday charged with drugs offences after being arrested at Heathrow Airport on Thursday.

Xun Jin Jiang, 45, of no fixed abode, denies possession, intent to supply and cultivation of cannabis.

He was arrested over the discovery of cannabis worth an estimated £147,000 in the Blackwater area of Armagh in June.

PSNI officers, the UK immigration service and the Metropolitan police all took part in the Heathrow arrest.
