Woman due in court on GBH charge

A 25-year-old woman is due to appear at Belfast Magistrates Court on Tuesday morning charged with grievous bodily harm with intent.

The charge is linked to an incident in the Andersonstown area of west Belfast on Monday in which a 23-year-old was seriously assaulted.

The incident was reported to police at about 0130 BST.

It is understood to have happened in a lay-by close to playing fields on the Andersonstown Road.
