160 new jobs at city restaurants

Victoria Square shopping centre

A total of 160 new jobs are being created with the opening of two new restaurants in the Victoria Square shopping centre in Belfast.

Brinker International is opening a new outlet of Chili's, the Texas-formed restaurant brand on Thursday.

And in October, it will open a branch of its Italian restaurant Maggianos.

Greg Walthar from Brinker International said the company is confident the Belfast outlets will do well in spite of the worldwide credit crunch.
