Shipyard fire hazard zone lifted

Belfast harour

A 200-metre exclusion zone set up at Harland and Wolff shipyard after a fire on board a ship at Belfast Harbour came to an end on Monday morning.

About 50 workers were moved following Sunday's fire, which broke out on a ship berthed at Workman's Road, Queen's Island, at about 1000 BST.

It was put out and there were no reports of any injuries.

The hazard zone was set up by police and fire crews as a precautionary measure following the blaze.

The ship was being repaired when the fire broke out, police said.
