Cannabis 'factory' found on fire

Scene of fire

Cannabis plants have been found in a house outside Coleraine, County Londonderry, which was set on fire on Tuesday night.

Police said the number of plants is still being established, but it appears the house, on Ballywatt Road, was a "cannabis factory".

They said the fire seemed to have been started maliciously and racist graffiti was daubed on the walls.

No one was at home at the time. Police have appealed for information.

A PSNI crackdown on cannabis factories has resulted in the charging of more than 50 people, all from south-east Asia, and the seizure of drugs worth millions of pounds.
