Sex assault 'link' to base breach

RAF Aldergrove

A security breach at RAF Aldergrove in County Antrim could be linked to the sexual assault of a teenage girl in Crumlin, the police have said.

The assault at a house in the town was reported to police at about 1100 BST.

A car crashed through a security fence into the RAF base and drove off a short time before the assault was reported.

The police recovered a car, which had been reported stolen, in north Belfast at midday. A short time later two men were arrested in the Crumlin Road area.

A possible link between all the incidents is being investigated by police.
