100-year-old dies after accident

A 100-year-old man has died after he was knocked down by a car in north Belfast on Tuesday.

The accident happened at about 1125 BST in Tennent Street, near the care home where he lived.

Grainger McIldoon was taken to hospital, where he died on Wednesday.

The police have appealed to anyone who witnessed the incident to get in contact with them.
