There has been a gun attack on a car in the Twinbrook estate, on the outskirts of west Belfast.

Shots were fired at the vehicle in the Broom Park area shortly before 1400 BST on Tuesday. No-one was injured in the attack.

One man was seen running from the scene. He was described as being about 5ft 8ins tall, of medium build with shaved black hair.

He was wearing a silver or grey jacket. Police have appealed for witnesses.

The car has been taken away for further examination, a police spokesman said.
