Government papers stolen from car

Confidential government documents have been stolen from a car in Downpatrick, County Down.

The theft of the six planning enforcement files was revealed to the Assembly's Environment Committee on Thursday morning.

The files, which were in a briefcase, contain confidential material, including the names of people who made complaints to the department.

Normally the names of complainants are not made public.
