Witnesses appeal in rape inquiry

Waterworks lake

An allegation of serious sexual assault on a teenage girl in north Belfast is being investigated by police.

It happened in the Waterworks area early on Sunday morning but details have just been released.

One man was arrested but released on bail, pending further reports.

Police say a large number of people were in the area at the time and they have appealed for information.
