Four arrests over car bomb attack

Damaged car

Four men have been arrested in relation to the attempted murder of an off-duty policeman near Castlederg on Monday, police have said.

They were detained at different locations in County Tyrone on Thursday morning, and were taken to the serious crime suite in Antrim for questioning.

The PSNI officer sustained serious leg injuries after a booby-trap bomb exploded in his car in Spamount.

Dissident republicans have been blamed for the attack.
