Lough search for woman called off

helicopter Search teams have called off their hunt at Belfast Lough for a missing 41-year-old woman.

A spokesman for the Police Service of Northern Ireland said that no further searches would be carried out.

A rescue helicopter from Dublin took part in the search which began soon after the alarm was raised about 0200 GMT on Saturday.

It was concentrated mainly on the north foreshore area around Hazelbank Park in Newtownabbey.

The PSNI were at the scene along with coastguard teams and the Bangor lifeboat.
