Tractor used in ATM raid attempt

Scene of robbery - pic Sheila Fitzgerald Police have appealed for information after a tractor was driven into a cash dispenser in Rostrevor, County Down.

Some time shortly after 0315 GMT the vehicle was driven into an automated teller machine (ATM) close to a grocery shop in The Square.

The person responsible made their escape from the scene in a light-coloured hatchback car.

Police said that no money was taken in the attempted robbery and detectives in Newry have appealed for witnesses.
