Mourners at the funeral of a man shot dead near the Donegal border have been told his killers are "twisted".
The body of Andrew Burns, 27, from Strabane, was found near a church in Doneyloop, Castlefin on Tuesday.
It is believed he had been previously injured in a shooting blamed on dissident republicans.
Father Declan Boland told mourners the killers are "devoid of morals, reason and vision and are caught up in their own warped processes of thought".
He added: "They are trying to drag our community back to darker days of our history but they will not succeed."
Gardai have said they have not ruled out a dissident republican or criminal link to the killing.
The Real IRA has released a statement saying it was not involved in the murder of Mr Burns.
People attending a youth club found Mr Burns lying on the road, beside the parochial house at about 1930 GMT on Tuesday.
It is thought he was shot in the church's car park nearby.
