Man dies in road traffic accident

Crash scene A man has been killed in a road traffic accident in County Tyrone.

It happened on the A5 between Omagh and Ballygawley at about 0800 GMT. His car was in collision with another vehicle.

The victim was 19-year-old Darren Paul McAnenly, from the Omagh Road in Ballygawley. Another man was injured in the crash.

His injuries are not thought to be life-threatening. Police in Dungannon have appealed for anyone who witnessed the crash to contact them.

It was the 10th fatality on Northern Ireland's roads since the beginning of the year.

Meanwhile in County Antrim, a man has been taken to hospital with serious injuries following a crash near Larne.

It happened at about 2140 GMT on Thursday at the Ballywillan Road. No other car was involved.
