Two held over policeman shooting

Shooting scene Two men have been arrested by detectives investigating a gun attack on an off-duty policeman in Londonderry.

The 43-year-old Catholic officer was shot after leaving his son off at a school in Bishop Street on 8 November.

He was struck on his face and arm but was able to drive himself to a nearby police station.

The PSNI said the men were arrested at their homes in the city and are being questioned at Antrim police station.
