Woman trapped in burning building

fire engine A woman narrowly escaped injury after arsonists piled wooden pallets against the door of a taxi depot and set them on fire, trapping her inside.

The blaze started at Pembroke Loop Road, Dunmurry, late on Saturday night.

The fire was reported at 0400 BST. Firefighters rescued her and she is recovering from the effects of smoke inhalation.

Police said the fire was an arson attack. They have appealed for witnesses.
