Teenager dies in traffic accident

Police accident The teenager who died after a collision involving a car and a forklift tractor and trailer in County Londonderry was 19-year-old Ryan McCloskey.

Two other men were taken to hospital following the accident at Ballyquin Road, Dungiven,at 1830 BST on Saturday.

Their injuries are not thought to be life-threatening. Ryan McCloskey was travelling in the car.

Sinn Fein councillor Cathal O'Hoisin said this was another tragedy for the Dungiven area.

"The Ballyquin Road has claimed yet another young life," he said.

"We and everybody from the community here are just stunned at this. One corner on the road has already claimed five lives."
