Teenager killed in road collision

crash scene An 18-year-old man has died following a road accident in County Tyrone.

The accident, involving a gas tanker and a 4x4 happened on the A4 near Killshill at about 0615 BST on Friday.

It is understood the dead man was from the Ballygawley area, his name has not yet been released. The driver of the tanker has been treated for shock.

The road has now been reopened after being closed for most of the day between the Ballygawley roundabout and Granville.

The fire service attended the scene to transfer the gas from the tanker into another one.

At the end of last year another man lost his life in an accident on exactly the same stretch of road.
