Man hunted after Thai drugs raid

Paul McAteer The police in Thailand are hunting for a Northern Ireland man after an alleged drugs factory was found at his home.

Paul McAteer, 43, from Dromantine, near Newry, disappeared after a raid at his house in the beach resort of Pattaya.

It is understood police found almost six kilos of cannabis and 425 ecstasy pills at Mr McAteer's home.

They also seized a canning machine and jars, which they allege were used to pack the drugs which were then shipped to addresses in Europe and the US.
