Boy, 14, dies after being stabbed

Irish police A 14-year-old boy has died in hospital after being stabbed in Ennis in County Clare.

It happened at about 2300 BST on Saturday on O'Connell Street. The scene has been cordoned off while Irish police examine the area.

The deputy state pathologist is expected to carry out a post mortem examination later on Sunday.

A 17-year-old youth has been arrested in connection with the incident.
