Man dies as farm wall collapses

ambulance A man in his 40s has died in an accident at a farm near Limavady in County Londonderry.

It is believed a wall collapsed on him at Seacoast Road in the Bellarena area. Police said he was Cornelius Gormley from Sallyowilly Road in Claudy.

The Health and Safety Executive is investigating the circumstances surrounding his death.

The executive is responsible for the promotion and enforcement of health and safety at work standards.

The accident happened at about 1400 BST on Thursday.
